Youth
It is important to recognize that the youth demographic constitutes a significant portion of the population in Malaysia, and as such, they possess the potential to significantly influence the country’s future trajectory.
Impact Integrated has a strong dedication to empowering youth through two targeted initiatives: Impact Malaysia (Youth Changemakers) and Picksum (Early Stage Entrepreneurs).
These initiatives are focused on fostering the growth and development of young people in Malaysia, enabling them to become agents of change and create positive social impact within their local communities.
Recognizing the substantial portion of Malaysia’s population represented by the youth demographic, it becomes crucial to acknowledge their capacity for exerting a substantial influence on the country’s future trajectory.
With a deep commitment to this cause, Impact Integrated has established two precise initiatives: Impact Malaysia (for youth changemakers) and Picksum (for early-stage youth entrepreneurs). These initiatives are concentrated on fostering the growth and development of Malaysian youth, enabling them to become change agents and create positive social impact within their local communities.
Youth Changemakers
Youth changemakers are young people who are actively engaged in creating positive change within their communities. We can see this in many different ways, from launching social enterprises and dedicating their time to non-profit organisations, to raising awareness about an issue that they are passionate about. However, these changemakers do not often receive financial, structural and educational support to enable them to create a larger social impact. That is where Impact Malaysia steps in to bridge the gap.
At its core, Impact Malaysia propels social change by empowering the very heart of it: the youth changemakers. Through furnishing these young individuals with essential resources and unwavering support, we can guarantee that the trajectory of Malaysia’s future is moulded by individuals who possess profound passion, unwavering motivation, and an unyielding commitment to effecting positive change.
Early-stage Youth Entrepreneurs
Empowering early-stage youth entrepreneurs is a crucial step in fostering a vibrant and dynamic economy. Recognizing the pivotal role of youth in shaping an economy’s future, it becomes imperative to furnish them with the requisite assistance and resources for their entrepreneurial journeys. By doing so, we lay the foundation for their capacity to not only thrive as entrepreneurs but also to actively fuel the growth and development of their respective communities.
Picksum provides these entrepreneurs with opportunities to learn from experts in the industry, and equip themselves with basic and advanced knowledge on starting a small business through programs like Picksum Labs and Picksum Talk. More than that, Picksum is also an ecosystem for these early stage entrepreneurs to network and share knowledge through Picksum club,
Connect with Youth Changemakers through Impact Malaysia
The journey of bringing positive social change into our culture begins with the youths, as they are the future of our nation. Impact Malaysia is our social impact initiative that empowers the youths to become changemakers through various capacity building activities, funds, social impact projects, collaborations and strategic communications.
Our goal is to culturalize the act of embedding the thinking about social impact in any effort for society. As an initiative under the purview of KBS, we aim to spur youth-driven social impact through a multi-stakeholder working model, including communities, NGOs, civil society, philanthropic organisations and corporations, social innovators and technology.
Youth as our primary stakeholders
Impact Malaysia’s primary stakeholders are youth changemakers who are actively engaged in creating positive change in their communities. We can see this in many different ways, including starting a social enterprise, volunteering for a non-profit organisation, or working to raise awareness about an issue that they are passionate about. However, these changemakers do not often receive financial, structural and educational support to enable them to create a larger social impact. By providing them with the necessary resources and support to become changemakers, Impact Malaysia ensures that the future of Malaysia is shaped by individuals who are passionate, motivated, and dedicated to making a positive impact.
Connect with Early-Stage Youth Entrepreneurs through Picksum
47.5% of total entrepreneurs in the country are youth aged 18 to 34 years old. We want to equip them with all the knowledge, skills and support they need to survive the challenges ahead. Picksum is an ecosystem for youth entrepreneurship development, consisting of capacity development, business networking and funds.
Among the aspects of entrepreneurship development that we prioritise are upskilling, reskilling and cross-skilling so they are able to perform a variety of tasks in line with the needs of their nature of business.
A support group for youth entrepreneurs
Our Picksum Club aims to be a support group for the youth entrepreneur’s community where early-stage and aspiring youth entrepreneurs can get direct access to support, advice, suggestions, and opportunities that are very useful to develop and grow their businesses.
