Malaysia Esports Championship 2023/2024 Now Calls For Registration

Puchong, 27 December 2023 –  Effort to build a vibrant, sustainable and inclusive esports ecosystem continues with the third season of Malaysia Esports Championship (MEC) 2023/2024 returns, and is now open for registration until 5 January 2024.  

The organization of the championship is in line with the commitment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) to nurture and expand the local esports industry, as contained in the ‘KBS Esports Development Plan 2020 – 2025’.  

To date, MEC has played a crucial role in fostering the Malaysian esports community and continues to drive the growth of the nation’s gaming culture. 

There are five game titles to be featured in this season’s MEC – Player Unknown’s Battleground (PUBG) Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), DOTA 2, Tekken 7 and Gran Turismo 7.  

PUBG Mobile and MLBB will showcase professional esports teams who secured their spot to compete at the MEC23/24 based on their championship pedigree. In the PUBG Mobile category,  champions of Malaysia Esports League 2023 and MyLadies Championship 2022 are invited to compete at the Playoff with 30 other teams from the Open Qualifier.  Meanwhile in the MLBB category, champions of Malaysia Esports League 2023, MyLadies Championship 2022, Esports State League (ESTL) and 2023 Johor All Star Esports are all invited to compete at the Playoff with four other teams from the Open Qualifier.

Any professional or amateur teams who are interested to compete at the prestigious MEC 23/24 are welcome to participate to showcase their skills and talent and be in the running for a total prize pool of RM 250,000.00.

The championship is set to take place in the aesthetically designed esports hub – ESI Hub in Spacerubix, Puchong beginning from January 26.  

How to register for MEC23/24? Register an Esukan account at https://www.esukan.gg, create a team and invite other members to join the team, then you can select the tournament you want to join.
