PUCHONG, 1 April 2020 – Impact Malaysia, an initiative under the purview of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), realigns its collaborative efforts under the #ImpactTolongHantar campaign in support of the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development’s (KPWKM) concerns over public health safety with the implementation of the Fixed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) through the Department of Social Welfare (JKM). The SOP, which is the management of contribution from private organizations, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and individuals to the underprivileged community affected during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, is to redistribute the contributions received from aid providers to the underprivileged community with the priority given to the health safety of those involved, mainly the health safety of aid providers, underprivileged community and the frontliners.
In line with KPWKM’s new SOP, Impact Malaysia will provide logistic and delivery solutions to aid providers to deliver food, supplies and other contributions to the respective state office of JKM for redistribution to the underprivileged community instead of directly delivering the contributions to the beneficiaries.
Under the #ImpactTolongHantar campaign, Impact Malaysia is working with delivery partners such as TheLorry, Bungkusit, MrSpeedy, GrabExpress, GoGet, MatDespatch, Recommend.my, EasyParcel, Ninja Van and ServisHero; grocers such as Pak Grocer, MyGroser and Mydin; and NGOs such as Yayasan Food Bank, Yellow House, Kechara Soup Kitchen, ADRF Malaysia, Geutanyoe Foundation, Tenaganita, Persatuan Kebajikan Kembara Insani, Taylor’s Education Group, #KitaJagaKita, Masala Wheels, Biji-Biji Initiative, Connect & Compassion, The Lost Food Project, Monsters Among Us, #MedTweetMY, Liga Rakyat Demokratik, Refuge for the Refugees and Dapur Jalanan Kuala Lumpur. Moreover, under the #ImpactTolongHantar campaign, Impact Malaysia organized several mini programs such as a partnership with Mydin to dispatch supplies to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Shah Alam; a collaboration with Kechara Soup Kitchen to provide Nando’s meals to the frontliners; and many more.
Impact Malaysia encourages Malaysians who wish to donate to help those who are working on the front line, directly/indirectly affected by COVID-19, and those who require aid and support to contact Impact Malaysia at https://impact.my/tolong-hantar-en.
